  9. In In summary ry • Good care depends on good care records, used consistently wherever care is needed. The health and social care system cannot work without an integrated care record system based on common standards. • Better care records bring significant benefits to health and social care professionals, making it easier for them to deliver better care for their patients. • There are wider benefits for the whole health and social care system as a result of better care records, including: cost savings, performance monitoring, knowledge sharing, and enhanced innovation and research. • Our work is driven by our membership; all of our members understand the critical importance of high quality care records, and are engaged with us to develop consistent formats and standards.
