Missions Tips & Guidance During COVID-19

WORK WITH YOUR GOVERNOR ON COVID-19 EMAC MISSION PLANNING

Requesting and Assisting States should work with Governors now to make COVID-19 EMAC response plans establishing procedures to limit the spread of COVID-19.

  • Where possible, workstations and accommodations must be physically distanced
  • Appropriate PPE, cleaning supplies and disinfectants must be available
  • Quarantine, testing and rapid isolation procedures must be established for EMAC deployed personnel
  • Procedures must be established for the decontamination of equipment
  • Provide information on safety procedures and provide briefings on entering and working in facilities
  • States should consider what missions or part of missions may be able to be conducted virtually

EMAC REIMBURSMENT MUST BE A PRIORITY FOR EVERYONE

The financial impact of COVID-19 may cause furloughs and layoffs of personnel in many disciplines reducing the pool of available resources. Now more than ever states may need to rely on one another to meet resource shortfalls. Timely reimbursement will be critical and must be processed with priority.
