  3. ECOTOUR aims to transfer the know how of ECVET using the qualification of Tourism Energy Manager as a sample qualification. The enhancement of transnational mobility in training Tourism Energy Managers will be realised through the transfer of know-how and materials from the transnational partnership. OBJECTIVES The objectives are : - implementing the ECVET principles for recognizing the KSC acquired on informal learning methods for the Tourism Energy Manager qualification; - elaboration of an occupational standard for the Tourism Energy Manager profile for the labor market to recognize the competences obtained within formal frameworks of learning - creation of a e-learning platform that will include support training materials for acquiring competences and knowledge on Energy Efficiency in Tourism SECTOR

  6. Why the project?  Formation of specialists to ensure sustainable supply of tourism services  Change the mentality of tourist operators regarding the social responsibility through environmental protection  Customers more inclined to choose a hotel ensuring environmentally friendly services  Energy consumption bigger and bigger;  Annual energy costs exceeding 1.3 billion, resulting in carbon emissions by more than 8 million tons annually.  In Romania four times higher than the world average and represent 40-50% of total operating costs of tourist units.

  7. Partners will work together sharing different expertise, experiences and lessons learned through continuous exchanges carried out during partnership workshops and communication activities and instruments. The approach is to maximise different contribution of each partner through the cooperation into each Component

  8.  9 Work Packages and 1 Component for management activities.   Each Component has a responsible partner.   Components are coherent in terms of schedule and activities to be carried out

  9. WP1- Management and Coordination: horizontal with respect to all other activities and will run the entire length of the project. Main outputs: 3 SC meetings, 2 Progress Reports, 1 management plan, 1 online working group, 1 Quality Management Plan, 2 quality reports Responsible partner: NERDA

  10. WP2 – Methodological Framework: The aim is to establish a methodological framework, a framework that will try to define the methodology to be followed at different milestones, establishing the basis for all content work packages to be developed along the project. This methodology will allow the constant exchange of information and knowledge among the researchers and the consistent cross- checking of the results. Main outputs: 1 data base with methodologies for implementing WPs, 1 data base with methodologies for collecting information, 1 data base with e- learning solutions, 1 assessment workshop, 1 report of good practices, 1 methodology for the project Responsible partner: ECOTOUR

  11. WP3 – Training needs and KSC analysis: Identification of the training need of managers from the tourism industry regarding the efficient use of energy in their companies. This WP aims also to identify the knowledge, skills and competencies (KSC) necessary for a new job in the tourism sector: the tourism energy manager. Main outputs: 50 questionnaires/partner from field work, 1 regional/national report/partner, 1 final analysis report Responsible partner: BDF Friesland

  12. WP4 – ECVET System Implementation: Identification of a methodology of implementing the ECVET System for the Tourism Energy Manager qualification. The objectives assigned to this WP are to adapt a strategy for allocating credit points according to ECOTOUR project purposes and to implement it to the common reference units of Learning Outcomes produced. Main outputs: 1 ECVET Model including: 1 matrix of common reference units, 1 vocational curricula and transfer procedure, 1 memorandum of understanding, 1 learning agreement model Responsible partner: FUNDECYT

  13. WP5 – Identification and analysis of training materials: Collect and adapt existing material from ENERGON previous project and to explore different materials and contents from the partners regarding energy and natural resources management (techniques tools solutions), identifying those which are potentially more adequate and useful for touristic SMEs Input materials contributed by partners, as well as those generated in the previous project and activities will have vital importance Main outputs: 1 data base with partners support materials, 1 data base with other support materials, 1 final collection with treated and adapted materials Responsible partner: ENERGON

  14. WP6 – Development of support contents: Explore different training support materials regarding energy and natural resources management used in Tourism Sector. Development of new support training materials based on the materials collected during WP5 and WP6 Main outputs: 1 final collection with support materials per project, 1 final map of support materials, 6 language versions of support materials for the e- learning platform Responsible partner: AVAESEN

  15. WP7 – Development of self-learning system: Creation of the self-learning system, which consists of: 1. The knowledge base; 2. A self-diagnostic tool that will guide the user to proper materials according to the situation and specific application environment; 3. Training area with different useful contents and tools; 4. Support tools as forums, FAQs, manuals for system use; 5. An interactive section enriched by visual elements to make more active the learning and assesment process. Main outputs: 1 technical description, 1 draft beta version of the e-learning platform (the structure), 1 draft beta version with the uploaded training materials, 1 final back-up of the e-learning platform Responsible partner: NERDA

  16. WP8 – Validation, evaluation and transfer: - Assessment, testing and validation of the ECVET Model for Tourism Energy Manager and of the self-learning system ECOTOUR; - Test and evaluate the materials, contents and tools resulted from WP4 and WP6; - Global evaluation on project results The goal is to detect faults and possible improvements in the materials, contents, tools and support system. Main outputs: 1 validation and evaluation methodology, 1 methodology for training courses, 1 data base with participants to ECVET Model testing and e- learning platform, 6 pilot testing of e-learning platform, 9 pilot tests of ECVET Model, 1 validation and evaluation report, 1 final version of ECVET Model and self-learning platform with improvements Responsible partner: FUNDITEC

  17. WP9 – Dissemination and Valorization: I mplementation of awareness-raising tools in order to inform the recipients and potential users about benefits that the ECOTOUR self- learning system and the ECVET Model for Tourism Energy Manager will provide. Valorization , “building on project achievements and outcomes”, enhancing them through validation and exploitation and to promote their integration into development and training systems and practices at local/national and European level. Main outputs: 1 dissemination and valorization plan, 9 awareness raising events, 9 press conferences, 9 presentations of the project results in other events, 18 press articles, 1 project leaflet Responsible partner: APT Bucovina

  18. WP10 – Exploitation: Exploitation activities aim at adapting existing products to other beneficiaries or systems than those for which they were initially conceived The exploatation plan has the aim of giving visibility to the project results and favouring their wide dissemination in order to enhance the objectives achieved and the activities identified. Main outputs: 1 collection of identified good practices (5 case studies/partner), 1 assessment workshop, 1 report of good practices/partner, 1 proposal for Occupational Standard Tourism Energy Manager, 1 exploitation plan Responsible partner: Kainuu Etu Oy
