Assist departments Admission in recruiting of REU & Apply decision high quality USRG early for September domestic and students Fall 2020 2019 URM graduate students  A program open only to summer undergraduate research students participating in a structured research group  Students can apply early for the Fall 2020 semester  Admittance decision in September 2019 2

  3. What is Early Graduate Admissions?  May apply to any participating department  Students have until April 15, 2020 to decline 6/13/2019 3

Program Timeline • Deadline for departments to notify OGAPS if participating June • Informational session for USRG students • Informational session for REU students • EGA applications due to OGAPS July • EGA applications forwarded to departments • Departments begin notifying OGAPS of admission decisions August • Departments notify OGAPS of admission decisions • Final department notifies OGAPS of admission decisions • Students notified of departments’ decision September • Deadline for students to submit online application – Application fee is paid by OGAPS • Departments enter admission decisions and Admissions Office November sends official letter of admission • Students officially admitted to TAMU through Office of Admissions 6

  8. If Accepted  Students must complete online application (e.g. ApplyTexas, EngineeringCAS, etc.) no later than September 30 th  Students should take the GRE by November 2019 and submit scores to department to be competitive for university/college/department fellowships 8
