CHEMICAL INNOVATIONS INSTITUTE established by the CT Legislature in 2010 → initially established at the UCONN Health Center initially established at the UCONN Health Center → to date, no State funding has been given to the Institute → NOT intended to serve in a regulatory capacity or to guide state / federal policy

CHEMICAL INNOVATIONS INSTITUTE established to serve as a resource of i f information, research, and technical assistance ti h d t h i l i t → research and identify chemicals that are important to the state economy research and identify chemicals that are important to the state economy → provide technical assistance concerning chemicals that are of concern to the environment and public health, as well as alternatives to those chemicals → coordinate and share information with institutes in other states → offer trainings for businesses
