Hat Porphyry Complex

  • Hat complex is a typical example of alkalic porphyry copper-gold deposits in BC and elsewhere.
  • Located in the prolific Stikine district of northwest BC, that hosts Galore Creek, Copper Fox deposits and the recently completed the Red Chris Mine.

Geology and Alteration

  • Extends over an area of 3 x 4 kms, within a structurally controlled NW-trending corridor .
  • Late Triassic Stuhini Volcanics are cut by mid-Jurassic gabbroic-diorite, syenite and late-stage mafic and felsic dykes.
  • Porphyry intrusions and related hydrothermal fluids created a strong alteration footprint throughout the Hat complex.
  • Alteration show a classic central calc-potassic zone surrounded by outer calc-potassic and propylitic zones
  • Recent drilling and core logging continues to outline the lithology, alteration and overall geometry of the Hat porphyry system.

Veins and mineralization

  • Cu-sulfides (py, cpy ± bor ± supergene Cu) in Lisle zone are associated with potassic altered quartz-diorite intrusions.
  • The inner calc-potassic alteration (K-feldspar-biotite-magnetite) accompanies strong copper gold mineralization particularly in drill holes H022, 23
  • Sulfide mineralization appears to be strongest close to significant zones of fracturing.
  • Cu-sulfides occur as disseminations, micro-veinlets and massive sulphide veins that grade outward into sheeted veins of massive sulfides (py,cpy) with

quartz-carbonate veining. Geophysical signatures

  • Hat complex represent a number of prominent NW-trended, sub-parallel, linear magnetic features.
  • Ground IP surveys show distinct NW and NE trends of anomalous high-chargeability and low resistivity .
  • Good correlation of magnetic, IP and overall geology and alteration of the Hat porphyry complex.
  • Further interpretation of geophysical data may better define the high-grade potassic core and guide the drilling program.

Page A - Identified Targets Based on IP Chargeability, Magnetic Surveys And…

Target A

  • Identified by IP Chargeability, Magnetic Anomacly and Bed-Rock Sulphide Mineralization
  • Proven to be Mineralized where it has been drilled, encompasses areas a1 to a3, E and Lisle Zone

Target C

  • The area represent very high magnetic anomaly overlaying Chalcopyrite and Pyrite clusters
  • Target C has demonstrated magnetic highs, moderate to high chargeability and mineralization (drill core) style

points to deeper seated targets.

Target D

  • Identified by Peripheral Magnetic low around a magnetic high (Refer to the website at

www.doubleview.ca/?p=1982 for technical details); and Chalcopyrite, Pyrite mineralization with porphyry features in Bedrock

Target F

  • Contains two high density clusters of Chalcopyrite and Pyrite mineralization with porphyry features in Bedrock
  • Target is a Peripheral Magnetic low around a magnetic high that makes this area highly prospective
slide-12
SLIDE 12

Doubleview (TSX.V : DBV) A Gold Rich Porphyry Copper Discovery – A Success Story

Page B - Identified Targets Based on Resistivity, Magnetic Surveys And Geology

Target H & G

  • Target Areas G and H are based on conductivity (which often is a characteristic of possible conductive metallic

content, and medium magnetic intensity.)

  • Areas G and H are located in the northern part of the Hat Property where there is believed to be a thin cover of

Tertiary volcanics (aka Level Mountain lavas). Although magnetic data in such an area may be influenced by the lavas and are somewhat questionable, the induced polarization chargeability/resistivity survey penetrated into the underlying formations to give intermediate strength responses with amplitudes similar to those at the Lisle Zone.

Sulphide Foot Print (CPY and PY)

  • Sulphide Mineralization and Bedrock Formations: the sulphide foot-print is more than 11 km².
  • The data points illustrated indicate locations of sulphide mineral occurrences that vary from “small” to

“significant”. A 70 meter trench located near the center of the drawing, south of drill hole H-06 near the center

  • f the map has Pyrite, Chalcopyrite and porphyritic textures throughout most of its length.
  • Statistical relationship of sulphide area to copper content of porphyry deposits: [from Open File report 2008 –

1155, Porphyry Copper Deposits of the World: Database And Grade and Tonnage Models, 2008, US Department

is about 11 square kilometers.
