UNCLASSIFIED Road to Sovereignty “A Nation At War and Transforming” UNCLASSIFIED 9 UNCLASSIFIED Increased Access to Potable Water In Falluja City PW - 90 Water Systems Rehabilitation Program Project Start: 10 APR 05 Project Completion: 16 APR 06 Project Cost: $1M • Completed Al Tahadi compact water treatment unit in Falluja, Al Anbar Governorate. • The project consisted of installation of 9,600 m3/day compact water treatment unit with water intake, generators, filtration system, chlorination systems, pumps, piping, building, and perimeter security wall. • The project provides potable water for up to 160,000 residents in Falluja City. UNCLASSIFIED Erbil City Transformers Completed Project Cost: $4.5M Project Start: AUG 05 Pole-mounted Completion: APR 06 Neighborhood Distribution Transformer • Completed the Erbil City Transformers project. This project constructed neighborhood distribution networks (poles, cable, transformers) to allow connection to 5,500 homes. • Quantities: 110-250kVA pole-mounted transformers; 353-tubular steel poles; 43.3 km aerial cable. • Work turned over and approved by GRN 15 APR 06. • Project forecasted to come in under budget by $400K. • The project is the last of 12 Washington International projects in the Erbil Governorate (total $48M).
