  9. Site working Hours Defence projects have specific times it can conduct internal works/movements. Monday to Friday – 0615 – 1615 hrs. Saturday- 0615 – 1615 hrs (as approved) Sundays / Public Holidays- NO WORKS without prior approval by Defence. Site Inductions are held at 0700 hrs. 9 Slide

Procurement Process TENDER PROJECTS  St Hilliers website, www.sthilliers.com.au, has an OPEN TENDERS tab at the top right of page.  Go to this tab, and select the project you wish to price.  You will be directed to Estimate One and request the documents for pricing.  We will also run ads in the Bulletin calling for pricing.  We will also broadcast through Australian Industry and Defence Network (AIDN), ICN Network, Estimate One.  Also through our local advocates Master Builders QLD and Ipswich Chamber of Commerce & Industry. 11 Slide

  12. Procurement Process FOR AWARDED PROJECTS  St Hilliers website, www.sthilliers.com.au has a CURRENT PROJECTS tab.  Go to this tab, choose the project you wish to price and register your interest with the contact details provided.  The project team will then send you an invitation to EstimateOne, through which project documents are managed for procurement, and the relevant docs will be issued to you for pricing.  We will also run ads in the Bulletin periodically calling for specific trades pricing throughout the project, as well as broadcasting through our industry partners , Master Builders QLD and Ipswich Chamber of Commerce & Industry. 12 Slide

Trainees & Apprentices  St Hilliers goal is to not only to provide opportunities for trainees and apprentices in the local region on current projects, but to upskill the local workforce to increase capability for future projects.  12.5% (1 in 8) of the project workforce will be made up of Apprentices or Trainees.  If you don’t currently have this level in your business, there are ways to meet this target for the project duration, and ideally, for future projects.  Group trainers and organizations like MEGT & OSMAC can facilitate the placement of apprentices and trainees and assist with information on all subsidies available. 13 Slide

Equal Opportunity and Diversity Policy  St Hilliers have an equal opportunity and diversity policy which guides our own employment process, and we expect our contract partners to follow these standards.  St Hilliers is committed to increasing indigenous participation in our projects and through collaboration with the local community and our contract partners, will aim to exceed the mandatory requirements of Commonwealth funded projects.  We can assist subcontractors with increasing their indigenous participation in the project works through links with companies such as Workstars who can provide skilled resources covering a broad range of roles and trades. 14 Slide

  15. Site Security Requirements  Typically, all project personnel will be required to attain a DCAC pass for entry to sites prior to commencing works.  A current National Police check will be required, this can be done online at various websites for approx. $50.  This can take up to 2-3 weeks to be processed.  The police check is valid for 12 months from time of issue.  Subcontractors who have already commenced this process or have it as a company standard are preferred.  St Hilliers will then facilitate the DCAC application with Defence. 15 Slide

  16. HSE Documentation St Hilliers maintains and retains applicable HSE documentation as required by the legislation. The standard, content and maintenance of this documentation is required for our OFSC accreditation. Required subcontractor documents include (but are not limited to):  A project specific Site Safety Management Plan (or PCBU Compliance Pack)  Site specific SWMS for high risk tasks  Plant Operator Competencies and Plant Induction documents  Employee Training & Competency Registers  SDS Registers Checklists for these documents will be provided with your tender package. Please refer to these checklists to ensure you will have compliant HSE documentation. 16 Slide

  17. Safe Work Method Statements - SWMS  SWMS will only be approved for use if they are specific to the activity.  All SWMS will need to be submitted for review at least 1 week prior to commencing site works for review by St Hilliers.  All Safe Work Method Statements must be consulted, written, understood and signed by all persons prior to any work commencing on site.  Subcontractors Supervisors will be responsible for inducting their employees into site specific Safe Work Method Statements prior to any person commencing work.  St Hilliers can provide templates of compliant SWMS & Registers for subcontractors to reference.   18. Personal Protective Equipment Ear Plugs  Hard Hat to be worn at all times (AS/NZS1270) (AS/NZS1800). NO baseball or buckets Safety Glasses hats under your hard hat (AS/NZS1336)  HI VIS shirt or vest to worn at all Dust Masks times: (AS/NZS 1801) (AS/NZS1716)  Shirts with sleeves must be worn at Riggers Gloves all times. No singlets (AS/NZS2161)  Steel capped boots to be worn at all times: (AS/NZS 2210) Radios/I-pods etc. are not ear protection. These items are banned on site.  Sun protection must be worn when appropriate, brims for hard hats, tinted safety glasses. Subcontractor employers are to supply suitable UV protection for their workers. 18 Slide

Quality Standards  Subcontractors are required to have their own internal Quality management system, compliant with ISO9001:2015  We will request evidence of your existing Quality Management Processes, including ITP’s, ITC’s etc.  Handover documentation including O&M’s.  St Hilliers can provide guidance on these to assist you achieve compliance. 20 Slide
