Cloth Face Coverings All staff, students, volunteers, and guests must wear cloth face coverings at school. Some people cannot wear face coverings due to medical conditions, or other needs. *Students will be allowed to wear face shields; staff are permitted to wear face shields during instruction only. Health Screening All staff, students, and visitors will be checked for signs of illness upon entry each day. People who do not pass the health screening or show symptoms of being ill will be sent home. Parents will have a plan in place to ensure a contact can be reached at any given time should your child need to return home. Stay Home if Sick or Exposed to COVID-19 Students, staff, vendors, and parents/guardians will be asked to stay home if they are feeling ill ,have symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 in the past 10 days. Physical Distancing As much as possible students and staff will maintain a six foot distance between people. Students will be in cohorts with limited or monitored movement between spaces for students. Hygiene Practices Students and adults will wash hands when they arrive at school, before meals or snacks, after outside time, after going to the bathroom, after nose blowing or sneezing, and before leaving to go home. If soap and water are not readily available, an alcohol- based hand gel with at least 60 percent alcohol will be used. Cleaning and Disinfecting There will be increased cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of all school buildings following CDC guidelines. If groups of students are moving from one area to another in shifts, cleaning will happen before the new group enters the area. Separate those with Symptoms If someone develops symptoms while at school they will be separated from others, asked to keep a mask on, and sent home. Communication plan in place that includes staff, families, and the local health jurisdiction. Ventilation and Outdoors Ventilation including windows, fans, and HVAC settings will be used to maximize the amount of outside air entering program areas. Outdoor learning and activities will be encouraged as possible.

Athletics
As we approach the 2020-2021 school year, many questions have surfaced around athletics. Recently, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) has been able to provide some clarity regarding athletics for next school year. Although we don't have all the answers yet, this information will hopefully answer some of the questions that you may have. Athletics in the State of Washington will look vastly different. On July 21st, the WIAA executive board approved a sport-structure that will not begin until December 28th.

end of the day & help them quickly get items from lockers/cubbies
- This will help minimize cohorts crossing over for
extended amount of time in our building.
Health & Safety Protocols
- Health screening for every individual entering the building.
- Students who have high fever, or symptoms will go to
“Waiting Room” in Brewster classroom in portable. There temp will be re-checked before contacting home for pick-up.

morning songs/routines.
Mask Breaks/Activity Breaks/ Recess
- Please keep your students to one
“zone” when you take them
- utside for a mask or activity
- break. This way another class
coming out at the same time can find an open space to take their group of students and we limit mixing of classes/cohorts.
- Each class/cohort has one mesh
bag with recess equipment. Please keep equipment only shared within your class. This can be stored in your classroom,
- r in the recess shed.
- Once we get to a schedule with
more formal recess times we will create rotation for classes/cohorts so all students have opportunity to play in different locations/ spaces.

so they can update and connect to network.
- Staff chromebooks--if want one just ask!
Small Group/Partner Work
- Face Masks/Shields & maintaining 6 ft. social distancing
decrease chance of being considered “close contact”.
- Partner and small group work should be limited to 10
minutes if cannot maintain 6 ft. social distancing.
○ Health Department is asking us to REALLY limit this during the month of September, “start slow to go fast”.
- Think creatively about how can come together, separate,
then come together again. Or how can “partner” while maintaining social distancing--can we use tech??
Shared Materials
- Shared item needs to be easily able to be wiped down
after use.
- All students using shared item need to use sanitizer or
wash hands after use.
- Example: It is okay to share a ball within each
pod/cohort. Students need to wash hands after sharing the item, and item needs to be cleaned/wiped down after use.
AESOP
- Please put all leave into AESOP, as much in-advance as
you possibly can!
- If you need help logging in or using AESOP please ask
Stephanie Linstrum for support!
