  5. Science Questions • Is dark energy Einstein’s cosmological constant, quintessence, a signature of modified gravity? • What are the properties of dark matter? Is it really “cold”? • What were the initial conditions of the universe? • What are the neutrino masses?

  6. Methodology • Measure the expansion history of the universe with the Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) standard ruler
