School-Home Partnership

39

Parents are important partners in education

slide-40
SLIDE 40

School-Home Partnership

40

Our children do best when schools and parents work hand in hand to support them.

Work with the school to know and support your child Help your child relate to others Help your child develop good habits Help your child manage himself/herself

Guidelines for School-Home Partnership

slide-41
SLIDE 41

Parent Gateway

  • A one-stop portal that strengthens school-home

partnership to support our children in their education journey.

  • Access all your official school announcements

and consent forms at your fingertips.

  • Give consent for your child's activities anytime,

anywhere.

  • Receive official announcements directly from

schools.

  • Keep track of upcoming activities for multiple

children.

  • Instructions to download is available from our

website Home > Useful Links > For Parents

slide-42
SLIDE 42

New features Parent Gateway

  • 1. Access to Caregivers – Parents Gateway is now available for

Caregivers whose details (e.g. names and NRIC etc.) have been updated in the School Cockpit. They will now be able to login to Parents Gateway using their SingPass.

  • 2. Editing of Child’s Initials – Based on parents’ requests to be able to

edit/customise their child’s initials in Parents Gateway (because their children’s identical initials can be confusing), we have developed the necessary feature to meet this need.

  • 3. Improved Push Notifications Details –

Enhancements have been made to provide parents with useful information on push

  • notifications. This will help parents gain better

understanding on how they may use the push notification to their benefit.

Changes will take effect from 11 Feb 2020 onwards
