CSA VS. CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
Focuses on our immediate needs as a diocese and helps fund our ongoing
- perational expenses
Provides annual services to more than 140,000 families in 123 parishes and 22 schools
Funds $2 million annually to educate and form seminarians
Related to real-life family expenses; you need to pay your monthly bills, cover minor emergencies and go to the movies
Looks to the future and goes beyond our immediate needs
Takes place in each of our 123 parishes

Provides scholarships for Catholic Schools, funding to expand parishes, rural parishes, campus ministry, Cedarbrake and John Paul II Retirement

How the program works:
A parish receives one ticket for achieving any of the above measurements
All tickets will be gathered at the reception
The Bishop picks the winning tickets
One parish will be granted 10,000 for their parish operations
To qualify, the parish earned all six tickets
Eight parishes will be granted $5,000 for their parish operations
Parish must be present to win
Parishes will receive recognition for achieving their goals

RETURN PROCEDURES
7-Step Easy Process – Complete the Transmittal Form
1)
Count all sealed pledge envelopes and place them in the Return Mailer. DO NOT OPEN THEM!
2)
Count all loose checks and place them in the Return Mailer.
3)
Collect all loose cash and change and put it into one pledge envelope. Write “Anonymous,” your parish name, and parish ID number on the pledge envelope and place it in the Return Mailer. This counts as one (1) pledge envelope in your envelope total.
4)
Total the number of pledge envelopes, the number of loose checks, and the anonymous cash envelope, and write this number on the line “Total # of Envelopes.”
5)
Mail ALL batches to the Stewardship and Development Office at the Diocese of Austin. OBTAIN A TRACKING #
6)
Include this completed form in the Return Mailer and mail to: Diocese of Austin ATTN: Stewardship & Development Office 6225 E US 290 HWY SVRD EB Austin, TX 78723-1025

Return Procedures – Tips
Review the Return Procedures in your folder. Follow the step-by-step instructions.
Do NOT open pledge envelopes. We need to be positive that the pledge envelope contains exactly what the donor put in it. When the envelope reaches us already opened, we can no longer make that guarantee.
Send completed batches to the Diocese of Austin immediately. If you want to write a check for the anonymous cash, do not delay your
- envelope. You can send the check in the envelope the following week.
Send ALL batches to the Stewardship & Development office at the Diocese of Austin.
