TOLL SYSTEMS Aitek has developed solid competences and great expertise in the design and implementation of automatic toll systems. Aitek’s know-how covers all phases of the process, from complete station management to final data processing. ROAD NETWORK MONITORING “Full Software” solutions for image processing and analysis from video-cameras installed on the network are designed to provide overall management of road networks and real time record of such hazardous events as road crashes, queues and tailbacks, vehicles in the wrong direction or stopped in the emergency lane, smoke clouds etc. ROAD NETWORK INFORMATION SYSTEMS Aitek can develop applications for the integrated management of variable message signs, emergency call boxes and weather stations and for processing all information about road maintenance yards, traffic information and critical events (SOS calls, crashes). AUTOMATIC LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION Aitek offers solutions for the license plates identification of vehicles crossing a toll gate by processing images from video cameras installed at toll stations, parking lots, limited traffic zones, private or off-limit areas etc. This solution can detect vehicles registration numbers and associate images from the rear of vehicles with traffic data (number/license plate, date/time, toll station number).

Aitek is a partner in national research projects (M.I.U.R. - Economical Development Ministry – 2015 Industry Programme) and european (VII E.U. Research Programme Framework). Our Company is also a member of consortiums and pools whose aim is to promote and support cooperation among Firms, Universities and Research Centres. Aitek is also a partner of SIIT (Intelligent Integrated System T echnologies) T echnological District and founder member of the Robotics Department. Since 2002 Aitek has been registered in the Roll of Research Laboratories of the Ministry of Education, University and Research, according to Art. 14 D.M. 593
