Ansaldo Segnalamento Ferroviario Why the Customer needs SCC ? • To introduce and expand the automation on the control and supervision activities on lines and hubs of the railway network • To upgrade the infrastructure maintenance procedures in an innovative way, by using computer based systems and modern diagnostic systems • To realize a new operational and prescriptive model of the organization and of the work procedures based on the model agreed with the Customer • To increase the quality of services offered to users according to concepts of uniformity, efficiency and safety 3

Ansaldo Segnalamento Ferroviario SCC System Integration • The SCC-TMS is fully integrated with all the other SCC sub-systems (PIS, D&M, CCTV) • At Control Center level the same Hardware architecture is applied for all the SCC sub-systems • The Control Center LAN is unique and connects all the various equipment • Different Dispatchers, depending upon Customer Organization, are present to govern Traffic, Diagnostics and Infrastructures 5
