SCC – Diagnostic & Maintenance

The SCC D&M System is based on three hierarchical level: OCC, PMan and PP. The main functions of the D&M System are:

  • Diagnostic and Maintenance of the peripheral equipment (IXL, TLC and

AUX eqp.);

  • Alarm management
  • Diagnostic of the SCC components (HW, SW, LAN);
  • Management of spares (location, inventory, replacement);
  • Management of system documentation (displaying of all the project

documentation via a standard browser)

Alarms are managed according to the following classification:

SCC - Alarms Management

Supervision alarms: Command and Control system and communication networks. System ALARMS Circulation data management and train alarms: automatic control and train tracking anomalies. Circulation ALARMS Indication/control and signalling equipment alarms: they are generated on the basis of IXL checks, and indicate the anomalous field unit status. Auxiliary equipment alarms (acquired by the CTC as checks): fire, intrusion and power supply alarms. Signalling ALARMS Alarms signalled by the button and presented in the specific page Type of alarm

The TSS main functions are:

  • Connection to the Control Centre via high-speed TLC channels
  • Local recording (for control or alarm event)

Since 2002, ASF Service supplies technical assistance and maintenance on SCC products. According with SCC contracts, purchasers were expected to be supplied with 2 years warranty, both on HW and SW products, so ASF Service started collecting and managing customers’ requests. Collaboration with Research&Development, project management and commissioning was fundamental.
