BOSTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS

  • The proposed MOU covers the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years
  • Once data is released from testing conducted this spring, BPS may

determine whether to continue the agreement into next year if there are concerns about academic performance

  • If DESE labels the school as under consideration for level 5 designation, BPS

will not continue this Agreement and will promptly begin transition planning to return Dearborn to full BPS operation

  • A similar review will occur to determine whether the agreement will be

renewed after the two-year period

Our aim: Create a school which puts all graduates on pathways to earn credentials with significant labor market value. This requires:

  • Internal programmatic structure - to ensure that students gain the skills

and competencies they need

  • External partners – to ensure that:
  • Students have exposure to

and immersion in the workplaces they will one day enter

  • The school receives regular

feedback to let us know how students are doing

  • The curriculum is informed

and refined by current STEM trends
