Marine Corps Substance Abuse Program • MCO 5300.17 Alcohol abuse and the distribution, possession, use, trafficking or distribution of illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia is contrary to the effective performance of Marines and to the Marine Corps mission, and will not be tolerated. (this includes drinking alcohol under 21)
Marine Corps Substance Abuse Program • A S P – This program requires units to ensure semi-annual screening of every Marine for being under the influence of alcohol while on duty. – A unit-level deterrence tool to identify alcohol abuse/misuse and direct appropriate intervention before any career or life-altering incidents occur.
