In 2012 IN Excise Officers conducted 9978 inspections across the State of Indiana and had 504 failures, a 5.204% failure rate Scott County had the highest failure rate at 40% The following businesses failed their SAC Inspections: Bull’s Cork and Bottle, Puerto Vallarta, RCP Marketing LLC, and Roadhouse USA In 2013 there were no “Alcohol Compliance Checks” in Scott Co by Indiana Excise Officers

TAP/TEG Program Held a booth at the fair, Back to School Bash, Fire Dept. Trick-or-Treating In School Youth Resources: Just Say No Club, Builders’ Club, Key Club, VOICE

Brothers Big Sisters, Club316, WhyTry Scott Memorial Hospital, Scott County Health Dept. and Connections hosted smoking cessation classes (2013) SPD had plain clothes officers at the fair to cite tobacco infractions Sheriff’s Department had officers stationed at fair to address any tobacco issues The Scott County Prosecutor’s Office will reduce tobacco infraction tickets if the offender completes a tobacco prevention/cessation related class (TAP/TEG) The county schools are to turn over issues with tobacco users to law enforcement for documented violations and further referral to TAP/TEG Scott County Tobacco QUIT NOW Coordinator meeting with schools, providers and employers to encourage their participation as Preferred Organizations, Preferred Providers, and Preferred Employers with with the IN Quit Line. Life Skills are being taught in both districts.

Scott County received Partnerships for Success II Grant targeting Rx drug abuse/misuse prevention, $130,000/year until 9/15. CEASe hosted 3 Community Forums annually instead of 2 CTC Implementation and Family Grants: Guiding Good Choices and Children in Between In School Youth Resources Scott Co. Area Plan Commission Executive Director initiated “Pill Mill” Ordinance in Scottsburg and Scott County Scott Memorial has a well- enforced ER Narcotics Pain Policy Life Skills are being taught in both districts Media: CEASe website, radio station, newspaper, Facebook page, Get Healthy Scott County Coalition, Good News Chronicle, Sawyer Billboard Support Groups: Al-Anon, SANITY, Alateen, NA, Lifespring groups, etc. CEASe hosts booths at the county fair, Healthy Kids Nights, Fire Station Trick or Treating, Back to School Bash Scott County Prosecutor’s Office provides legislative updates to law enforcement agencies Take Back Rx Drug Initiative
