The mission of the Computing Research Association's Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community and enable the pursuit of innovative, high-impact research.

Bring the computing research community together to envision audacious research challenges. Communicate these challenges and opportunities to the broader national community. Facilitate investment in these research challenges by key stakeholders. Inculcate values of leadership and service by the computing research community. Inform and influence early career researchers to engage in these community-led research challenges.
Each proposal will be reviewed based on its potenFal to be a compelling vision and to engage a large segment of the research community, policy, and funding agencies. Proposals may be submi@ed by email anyFme to cccrfp@cra.org as an a@achment in PDF, Postscript, or WordA well-formulated proposal should do the following:
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
A well-formulated proposal should do the following:
- describe the visioning topic area
and its current state of development within the field
- explain the proposed acFviFes in
detail
- connect the acFvity and the vision:
how does the former support/ foster the la@er?
- jus2fy why this vision and this
acFvity are appropriate now,
- specify the intended outcomes of
the workshop, and
- describe how those outcomes can
be used to advance the visioning topic area.
COUNCIL NOMINATIONS
The CCC’s Nomina.ng Subcommi4ee invites nomina.ons (including self-nomina.ons) for members to serve on the CCC Council for the next three years, beginning July 1,
- 2017. Please send nominaFons, together with the informaFon below, to
ccc-nominaFons@cra.org by 11:59 pm PST on Friday, February 3, 2017. The subcommi@ee’s recommendaFons will serve as input to CRA and NSF, who will make the final selecFon. Please include: Name, affiliaFon, and email address of the nominee.
- Areas of research experFse.
- Previous significant service to the research community and other relevant
experience, with years it occurred (no more than *five* items).
- A brief biography or curriculum vitae of the nominee.
- The names and contact informaFon (email and phone) for 2-3 people who would be
knowledgeable about the nominee’s potenFal for such a service role.
- A statement from the nominee of less than one page, supporFng his or her
nominaFon by describing his or her ideas for, and commitment to, advancing the work of the CCC in encouraging new research direcFons, engaging broader communiFes, and finding wider funding sources.
