  6. Society of Professional Hispanic Engineers - USD Student Chapter • Event name: Stay Sharp • Description: SHPE will be hosting a resume review and mock interview event on campus. The objective of this event, is to prepare students for the National Conference and other interviews that a student might have. This a great professional development event to allow student to improve on their interviewing skills. • Date: 09/30/2017 • Location: Loma Hall NOTES: • Expected Undergrads: 50 • Funding covers food, beverages, and supplies • Costs: $250 • Open to all students (STEM majors) • Approved (Unanimously) for $250 • EvR?: Yes • Approved Total: $250

  7. Student Vegans United • Event name: SVU Banner • Description: We would like to have a club banner made to display during tabling. We would get it printed through DF Grafix.   8. Chinese Students and Scholars Association • Event name: WELCOME NEW STUDENTS • Description: We will introduce CSSA to all the new Chinese students. In addition, we will present a PPT giving new students tips for studying and living in USD. This meeting will give new students an opportunity to make new friends.   11. International Buddy Program • Event name: Day at the Bay Buddy Matching Event • Description: This is the first event of our organization. It is designed for our members to meet their buddies for the first time. IBP events are designed to guide our members, especially international member, explore American culture during events based on local San Diego attractions. The event will be happening on the Mission Bay, where students spend time together out on the beach or use the kayaks and paddle boards. We will be providing a light lunch and beach snack for the members. The objective of this event, and our club, is to provide USD’s foreign exchange students with a USD domestic student who serves as a resource during this transition to San Diego. Essentially, this person is there to help them do things such as figure out office hours and other school related questions, practice English, learn some of the San Diegan culture, and build global connections.
