A Look at the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce activities, income, and expenses from 2014 to 2019

What the Chamber does for our Community

• The chamber is one of the first stops by visitors and local individuals

needing information about a business or service

• We maintain a very active online presence to promote our members and the area
• Calls come in daily to recommend a business or service
• The chamber promotes our local members through Ribbon Cutting’s,

Network night events, and local events that engage the community

• The chamber manages the Fannin County Multipurpose complex which

draws a large number of people both in Fannin County and outside the area to our community each year for various events

• The Chamber also manages the website for The Fannin County Quilt Barn

Trail – a visitor resource that brings 1,000’s of people through the county each year

Breakdown of Visitors for Chamber Events

• The chamber manages the following events each year
• Chamber Banquet – recognition of the best businesses and individual’s from the previous year - +300 people

each year attend

• Golf Tournament – an event for local merchants to interact and have a good time with others in the

community - +100 people involved each year

• Autumn in Bonham – a bicycle ride that attracts an audience from mostly the DFW area to spend the day

seeing what Fannin County has to offer - +300 people involved this past year

• Holiday Parade – a coming together of the community to celebrate the Thanksgiving and Christmas Season.

The holiday parade draws over 2,000 people a year to the square.

• Wine Walk – an event to promote our local downtown merchants just before the Christmas holiday’s. In 2019

we had over 250 people involved

• Festival of Flight – Normally held in October this event attracts 3,000 – 5,000 people each year with an

emphasis on getting the younger generation excited about flying. While held for the past five years, the event was not held in 2019 due to circumstances that could not be controlled

• Ribbon Cuttings – a time to show off your company and get people excited about your being in Fannin County.

Normally attract 15 – 50 people for each event.

• The Fannin County Multipurpose Complex – the chamber manages the facility and in 2019 had over 31,000

people go through its doors. Individuals and groups from all across Texas use the facility for a multitude of different events
