Building Georges River Council – Building a new organisation • Rebuilt the organisation from the ground up • 81% increase in staff engagement • 89% resident satisfaction with performance • 95% of capital projects delivered on-time/within budget • 100% systems integration – better services, less costs • 42 new policies adopted and 500 procedures mapped Kick-started a number of community facing projects: • Smart Cities Round 1 pilot • Customer Experience Improvements • Community Infrastructure projects • Generating > $10.5m in funding flowing into the LGA

Town Centre Destinations Creating destinations across the LGA • Distinct locations serving growing communities • Developing unique identities for town centres to: • drive economic development and investment • create a sense of belonging and neighbourliness • enhance infrastructure and streetscapes • strengthen service delivery • support the environment

Georges River = Smart City Smart City, Smart Places, Smart Council • Using technology to improve the quality of life for residents: • More efficient services and operations • Connected and smart infrastructure • Create opportunities for grant funding, partnerships and research • A more responsive Council • We need to develop: • Digital and innovation strategies • Suite of policies – data sharing, procurement, etc • Standardised smart street furniture
