CISM Sport Committee Swimming & Lifesaving Statistic & Data:

• Swimming is a CISM and Olympic Core Sport with really famous CISM athletes
• Lifesaving has a real benefit to military swimming skills and has thrilling disciplines
• Participation:

15 -20 nations, ~ 200 athletes + Officials

• Duration:

4-6 competition days

• Infrastructure:

50m pool with 8 lanes for all swimming and lifesaving pool events small beach with open water (sea or lake) for some lifesaving events

CISM Sport Committee Swimming & Lifesaving to host Swimming and/or Lifesaving …

• it is possible to host both diciplines in one competition or only one discipline

(question of capacity and national focus)

• support of national federations and local clubs makes it easy
• swimming is also easy to organize for „para-athletes“ (no additional equipment)

CSC Swimming and Lifesaving is experienced and will assist you in any way you want If you have questions – we can discuss all different possibilities of hosting an event!

• World Championships Swimming 2017, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, 10th-17th December
• World Cadet Games 2018, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, 28th April-5th May
• 2018 until now NO host for World Championship – Swimming and / or Lifesaving
• CISM World Games 2019 , Wuhan, China (Swimming & Lifesaving)
• 2020 ff hosting nations ? – You all
