What does this mean?

Can I go to the grocery store, warehouse stores or pharmacy? YES! What about my healthcare needs? Can I go to my medical appointments? YES! What if my pet gets ill, can I take them to the veterinarian? ABSOLUTELY! I need to have my laundry done, can I go? YES! I still want to be active; can I go out for a walk, hike or ride my bike? YES! However, fitness and exercise gyms remain shut. I am a professional caregiver, does this order prohibit me from doing my job? NO! I would still like to support our local businesses; can I go to a restaurant for take-out, delivery or drive-thru? ABSOLUTELY, just no dine-in service and don’t forget to tip. Remember to always maintain a distance of at least six feet away from

  • thers.

Ask yourself, is this essential?

My friend’s large wedding is this weekend, can I still go? NO, avoid gatherings with more than 10 people. I need new shoes and a dress; can I still go to the mall or other retail stores? No, non-essential businesses are ordered close. We encourage you to shop online! I was thinking of seeing the new exhibit at the museum, can I still go? All museums (and libraries, too) are closed. Explore great resources online, such as LAPL.org! I need to get a manicure, can I go to the nail salon? No, this also includes hair salons and other grooming locations. What about work? Do not go to work unless providing essential services as defined by the order. Exceptions include emergency personnel, first responders, government employees, food industries, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, exterminators, banks and financial institutions. (This is not a comprehensive list) Follow this link to read the entire emergency
