  • Focus of work is on both system and local level

changes/improvements to facilitate better coordination of public health service delivery for FN communities

  • One size does not fit all
  • Two pilots for northern remote FN communities:

Weeneebayko Area Health Authority(WAHA) and Sioux Lookout FN Health Authority (SLFNHA)

Cultural Competency Modules

  • The most important goal is to provide an occasion and

vehicle to build relationships with FN leadership on PH issues

  • COO is leading this work
  • Online modules with a relationship building component
  • Recent pilot with Fort Williams and Thunder Bay identified
