THE STORY OF BUTCH TAILORS

Butch Tailors is an authentic Belgian company and was founded in 1956 by the Daman family in Liège. Current CEO Dominique Vindevogel acquired the company in the nineties and turned it into a success story. As a pioneer in manufacturing quality garments and tailored suits, it should come as no surprise that craftsmanship and attention to detail are two very important elements that contributed to the success of the brand.

BUSINESS TO BUSINESS

A selection of our clients

Since 1956, we as “butch corporate tailoring” know that the importance of fashion in today’s society is greatly underrated. The way you look and dress today is the fjrst impression that peo- ple will have of you as a person or group. Per- sonal corporate fashion is a great way to state you as a company and a way of showing what you really stand for.

THE PROCESS OF TAILORING

The fjrst step is an informal conversation to learn more about the customer. What are his needs, what is his style and what kind of fabrics does he want? The tailor will then take all the necessary measurements after which the creative process

  • starts. The fjrst appointment will be followed by a

fjtting appointment.

THE PROCESS OF TAILORING

In the second part of the process the fabrics are selected and a personalized paper pattern is drafted. Once the personalized pattern has been made, it is then laid onto the selected cloth length, chalked around after which the tailoring is cut by hand.

THE PROCESS OF TAILORING

We have three levels of suiting. All our suits are made using the ultimate artisanal tailoring skills. Our suits employ a fmoating canvas construction in the chest which means the suit breathes, has good fmexibility for comfort, adapts to the body and al- lows for a luxurious appearance by not restricting the natural drape and behaviour of the cloth. For all three levels of manufacturing, the collar, sleeves and canvas pieces are attached by hand. Once the clients pattern is obtained, reordering and adapting is simple as the personalized pattern is integrated in our system and thus accessible whenever, wherever. The pick up or delivery of tailor made garments takes place 4 weeks after the initial appointment
