  • Rebuild the 1.2-mile section of Business 40, which includes

reconstruction of the roadway, 9 vehicular bridges and 2 pedestrian bridges.

A Transportation Management Plan (TMP) is currently being reviewed by the City and NCDOT.

The TMP includes detours for vehicles and pedestrians.

  • Pedestrian detours are planned for First Street between
