Small Business Incubator Feasibility Analysis-EDA

BRPC will conduct a feasibility study to develop a small business incubator to serve the region, the study will:

  • Evaluate the industry clusters that are emerging in the region
  • Evaluate the labor market to gauge entrepreneurialism in the

region

  • Develop a recovery strategy focusing on entrepreneurialism for

the heavily impacted construction trades labor sector

The feasibility analysis will include peer learning, examining best practices, and developing a conceptual plan that includes physical and operational preferences.

City of Jonesburg – CertainTeed Corporation

  • Received a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $1.5 million
  • Received EDA funding in the amount of $1.9 million

The project will construct a rail spur and extend utilities to the site. The company will invest $100 million in private funds and will create 100 jobs.

City of Troy – Bodine Aluminum, Inc.

  • Received a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $350,000
  • Received EDA funding in the amount of $757,000

The project will make improvements to Cherry Blossom Way. The company will Invest $10 million in private funds and will create 35 jobs.
