2020-2021 Return to School Plan BSD Traditional School Students enrolled in the BSD Traditional School Model will return to campus and classrooms with the traditional school schedule and in-person instruction. Enhanced health and safety precautions will be in place. Masks are encouraged for all students and stafg. More time will be made for thorough and frequent handwashing. We will establish protocol for visitors and essential personnel. Visitors will not be permitted in the cafeteria or classrooms.

BSD Remote Learning Students enrolled in the BSD Remote Learning Program will receive daily virtual interactions and lessons with teachers during the regularly scheduled school day. Teachers will be using google classroom. These students will maintain a connection with their enrolled school campus and will still be allowed to participate in extracurricular activities. Bloomfield Academy Students in grades 9-12 enrolled at BSD will have the option of enrolling in Bloomfield Academy if they meet the requirements. This is online learning with flexible scheduling supported by a BSD teacher. Semester enrollment is required for this program. These students will not be allowed to participate in extracurricular activities.

Social Distancing Assigned seats will be used in classrooms. Field trips are canceled for the 2020-2021 school year. Sharing of materials will be discouraged. Visitors to the school must call ahead/make an appointment. Screening Process We are depending on parents and guardians to screen their students before school. If your child is sick, please do not send them to school. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic our attendance policy will be flexible for the 2020-2021 school year. Visitors and essential personnel will be screened and required to wear a face covering when entering the building.

Cleaning and Sanitizing Keeping surfaces clean will be a team efgort. Maintenance workers and school custodians will clean frequently touched surfaces throughout the day and conduct overall cleanings at the conclusion of every day. All stafg members will be expected to do their part keeping surfaces clean, and will be provided cleaning supplies. Personal Protection Equipment Masks are encouraged for both students and stafg. If they do not wear a mask it is not a discipline issue. There are times when students may forgo use in the school day when they are social distancing (for example, outdoor activities, PE, classroom activities).

Meals Cafeteria seating will be arranged to ensure social distancing. All food service employees will be required to follow local and state health guidelines. Food sharing will be prohibited. No outside food deliveries. Transportation Bus drivers will be required to wear masks or face shields. Students will be required to wear masks. Seating charts will be implemented. Hand sanitizer will be available on buses. Buses will be disinfected between runs. Thank you for all of your help in making this school year a success.
