Project Highlights

  • Large, under explored, IOCG Type Cu - Au

mineral system with artisanal production.

  • Initially discovered in the mid 1980’s and

recently had the 30 year concession contract renewed – 2009 to 2039.

  • Initial exploration of the mid 1980’s

includes:

  • 15 Diamond Core Drill Holes totaling

2407 meters at average depth of 150 meters

  • All 15 holes cut the ore body and all

structural and geochemical information is available.

  • Extensive surface sampling including

trenching and adits

  • Geological Mapping 1:5000 scale

3D Modeling of Historic Data

Mineralization consists of a series of sub-parallel stratiform replacement-style bodies and wallrock disseminations. The ore body is composed of magnetite, specularite, ilmenite, (IOCG Style) pyrite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite. Mineralization occurs within all members of the sedimentary sequence, where it can be traced over a strike length of greater than 1,200 meters and local thickness of more than 30 meters. Oxide/sulphide mineralization locally forms massive admixtures, replacing 100% of the hosting sedimentary strata. The Volcaniclastic sequence is overlain by a pyroclastic unit, predominantly of lithic and crystal tuffs. Alteration, includes silicification , calcitic carbonitization, sericitisation, epidotisation and disseminated pyritization

  • bserved within the sedimentary sequence.

In the vicinity of the quartz diorite stock to the north mineralization in contact with metamorphic hornfels an increase in silicification is clearly observed.
