  1. Ash Class Year 2 - Mr Noonan

  2. Introductions…  Mr Noonan – Teacher Previously taught in Year 2  Mrs Palmer – Teaching Assistant Many years experience in Year 2. Strong skills in KS1.

  3. Requests…  We provide the children with all equipment necessary to complete tasks in the school day. Please NO pencil cases.  Year 2 encourages more independence, please ensure your child’s belongings are clearly named that they can find them themselves.  Our book bags go in the containers outside the classroom. As space is limited, please ensure your child’s bag is appropriately sized to bring in essential school belongings. PE bags are stored in the cloakroom.  As the timetable becomes a bit more full in Year 2, it reduces the amount of time we would have to listen to the children on an individual basis. Please listen to your child read on a regular basis as this skill is used a lot throughout Year 2.

  11. A special message to my class… Hi New Ash Class! I’ve made a little video for you to tell you just a little bit about Year 2 as well as some of our topics. There is also a video of me reading a story for you from one of the new books we will be studying when we come back in September. I hope you like it. Please excuse my forehead – how come none of you ever told me how wrinkly my forehead was? I blame Coronavirus (or you guys!) Can’t wait to see you all in September. Love Mr N x https://youtu.be/oSTNxZLXMek
