NWDAFs Aims and Objectives
NWDAF has four aims on which it develops all programmes: Artistic Arts & Learning Access Achieve They are foundations to every aspect of our delivery as cornerstones being inter-related and interdependent.

To promote and advance Disability arts, Deaf arts and
- ther disability arts as distinct cultural diversities
To support arts participation by Disabled people with Disabled people To develop partnerships with mainstream arts and other culturally-diverse arts organisations To influence access in all aspects of the arts & cultural industries sector To commission new art work and experiences To develop arts activities with young people

To create learning opportunities for all Disabled people to work in partnership with education and arts
To pioneer and disseminate new ways of learning To work to empower children and young Disabled people to create arts and career choices in the arts sector To develop a continuing programme of professional development for Disabled artists

To facilitate the active participation of Disabled people in every experience of the arts To promote Disability Arts and related cultural expressions To support and guide arts & cultural organisations to include Disabled people throughout their services To provide access consultancy and training for the arts & cultural sector

Staff Training in Disability Equality:
Marketing and Promoting Events to Specialist Disability/Deaf Press, Media and Networks. Commission new work f rom Disabled/Deaf writers, artists and theatre companies. Employ Disabled/Deaf directors and actors. Provide Audio described and BSL Interpreted Performances/exhibitions/screenings. Provide information in a range of accessible formats.
