Physicists with permanent positions currently wishing to join:

  • Mathieu BONGRAND (SuperNEMO, SoLid)
  • Fabien CAVALIER (Virgo/Ligo, head of the laboratory)
  • Joao COELHO (LHC-b)
  • Laurent SIMARD (SuperNEMO, SoLid)

Integrated in the IN2P3 DUNE project with the other groups (APC, IPNL, LAPP, LPSC, OMEGA). IN2P3 funding already available for 2019.

Envisaged contribution : mechanical construction of the signal feedthrough chimneys of DUNE dual phase far detector (DP-electronics Consortium)

  • > involvement of LAL technical services/mechanical engineering

since summer 2018 (past experience in ATLAS LAr calorimeter)

  • > optimization of the design compared to previous prototypes and
  • rganization of the production means
  • > construction of a prototype at LAL planned in the next months

Possible other contributions : involvement in data analysis of ProtoDUNE, simulations and analysis for DUNE…
