WA NDIS Kids Are Kids! became a Registered WA NDIS Service Provider “ We were successful in our application to be a registered provider on the Disability Services Provider Panel for both Early Intervention and School Aged services . We supported many of our families to make the transition to an individualised funded service through WA NDIS or to welcome new families to Kids Are Kids! and support them through what is often a challenging time.” Lisa Hoffman, Executive Officer www.kidsarekids.org.au

Program Performance: A Snapshot • KidStart Program: 78 families at any one time • WA NDIS Program: Continues to grow and is now equal in size to the KidStart program • WA Country Health: 63 families • Fee for Service: Continues to provide individualised and multi-disciplinary services to clients and their families • CDS Speech Pathology: 143 families • CDS Physiotherapy: exceeded budget forecasts • Autism Assessment Program: Continues to grow as a panel provider for DSC and CDS www.kidsarekids.org.au

  10. The Xploration Hub An incredible resource that is being utilised every day. Many of our current clients that come to the centre use the sensory room on a regular basis. Kids Are Kids! also provide group programs held in the Xploration Hub and parents can also book the room for private use by appointment. All disciplines including Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Clinical Psychologists use the facility. www.kidsarekids.org.au

We raised funds and received support • The 2017 Gala Dinner raised $28,000 • Grill’d Applecross: community advocacy • Cadbury Easter Chocolate Drive • Entertainment Books • The Think Fragile X Foundation: ongoing support & Scholarship donation • Grant Thornton: ongoing support, donations and fundraising Quiz Night • ATCO Group of Companies: ongoing donations through EPIC charity support program and assisting with other fundraising initiatives • Lakes Networking: IT support • Santa’s Helpers: Family Christmas Picnic Gifts www.kidsarekids.org.au

  23. We reached out to more children • Aubin Grove Primary School: Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology • Honeywood Primary School: Occupational Therapy • Our Lady of Mt Carmel: Speech Screens www.kidsarekids.org.au

  24. We awarded Scholarships Thanks to generous donations from ATCO, Think Fragile X Foundation and the Variety Club of Perth we were able to offer a total of 10 scholarships. These helped children access much needed therapy and without the scholarships, would not have been able to access therapy services. We included representatives on the review panel from our sponsors and staff from Kids Are Kids! www.kidsarekids.org.au

  25. Our commitment to quality continues We strive to provide families with a supportive, safe environment where every family can have access to our services. We continue to develop our programs and services around the needs of families and their children. We are very excited for what the future holds for Kids Are Kids! and look forward to celebrating the 21 st year of operation in 2018. Thank you for your support. www.kidsarekids.org.au
