To promote, represent and support professional practitioners of natural medicine occupations who are encouraged to pursue the highest ideals of professionalism in their natural medicine practice and education.

The year that was…

Australian Traditional-Medicine Society

2016 – 2017 was a successful year for ATMS, building strong communication foundations to engage with members, media and key stakeholders across many channels. During the past year it was important to make sure that the priorities of the members were heard and implemented. Some key achievements in the past year:

  • Completion of the first National Seminar Series – sell out in Sydney
  • Hosting our second Natural Medicine Week with over 80 practitioner events

and the Healthy Breakfast at Parliament House, Canberra

  • Relaunch and establishment of our 6 month CPE calendar and program
  • ATMS stakeholder engagement manager appointed to build relationships with

industry sponsors and partners

Some key achievements in the past year:

  • Creation of the first ATMS special event: The Endometriosis Symposium
  • Further engagement with our Education Providers for accreditation and hosted the

second Education Provider Symposium 2017

  • ATMS + Nature & Health Awards – successfully grew the program in it’s third year
  • Member marketing, representation and engagement across the ATMS website,

email marketing, JATMS, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn

  • Promotion of natural medicine and the benefits of visiting practitioners via

advertising in Nature & Health (print & digital) and ATMS Facebook

  • Launched a new career focused student member program
  • Lobbying & PR: Launched PR and ‘I support Natural Medicine and I Vote’ public

voice campaign plus ATMS government relations activations in Canberra
