Animals chosen

  • I observed many of the animals in the San

Diego Zoo live Cam. I ultimately chose to write about the Ape, and the Butterfly. These animals were active and seemed

  • interesting. Some of the other animals

weren't that active and didn't come out

  • ften.

Ape

  • I noticed grassy trees and leaves

surrounding this habitat.

  • I noticed interconnected metal

bars, that reminded me of tree branches throughout this habitat.

  • I noticed one ape laying in a

hammock.

  • I noticed small baby apes playing

with each other, as they swung on a cloth.

  • I noticed how well the baby apes

played with each other.

  • I wonder how smart the apes are,

because they seemed intelligent.

  • I wonder how the apes

communicate with one another.

Butterfly

  • I noticed two butterflies feeding on

a watermelon.

  • I noticed the butterflies were

surrounded by blue flowers.

  • I noticed the butterflies had

different colors on their wings.

  • I noticed one butterfly flap its

beautiful blue wings and fly away.

  • I noticed the butterflies landed on

a white area with orange, yellow, and red hexagon shapes on it.

  • I wonder how many different

colored butterflies are in this habitat, because I mainly saw the blue ones.

  • I wonder what other foods they eat

besides watermelon.

In conclusion

  • I really enjoyed learning about different types of animals. My favorite

part was being able to watch the animals live. The ape and butterfly were the most interesting.
