First Aid staff
Mr Lloyd and d
Miss Di Niro and Miss McBride are both first aid trained.
Anaphylaxis
Mr Lloyd and d
Anaphlaxis is a severe allergic reaction. There are pupils on the trip who have known, minor nut allergies. IT IS VITAL THAT NO PUPILS BRING OR BUY ANY PRODUCTS THAT CONTAIN NUTS ON THIS TRIP. Please try to be aware when buying products of their hidden nut content – e.g Nutella, Snickers Staff and friends of pupils have been trained with what to do in these circumstances.
Anaphylaxis
Important information
We would like you to be aware that there is a child/children/staff going on this trip with a food allergy to peanuts and tree nuts (anaphylaxis). This includes any food that contains peanuts/nuts in it e.g. snickers bar, Nutella products. This is a medical condition that causes a severe reaction to specific foods and can result in death within minutes. Prevention of course is the best approach. We would therefore request that you do not send foods with your child on the trip that contain peanuts or nut products. In a school or trip setting, cross-contamination is the greatest risk for this type of allergy. Trace amounts of peanuts/nuts can be left on any equipment used, door handles, transport seating, etc. We endeavour to make the school and our trips a safe environment for all students and staff. We thank you in advance for your support with this very serious
- matter. Anyone wishing further information about anaphylaxis may contact the school.
