Why „CS30 Strategy“?

„The objective of our activities is to reach a female/male ratio of at least 30% across all computer science programs so that women studying computer science are not perceived as a minority.” Reached for first year students in 2014 … but not for all courses yet!

Lessons learned

  • Start early, keep going
  • Actions for all ages
  • Build up a network with active teachers
  • Positive effects for all genders
  • Before studies: better visibility for CS courses
  • During studies: more diversity in teams
  • Make it a mission for the whole faculty!
  • A lot of work  cannot be done by the female staff only
  • We need both, female and male role models
