About Me  Started flying at WMU in Fall of 2013.  Did all training at WMU  Currently a Certified Flight Instructor as well as dispatcher for the College of Aviation  Senior- Double Majoring in Flight Science & Aviation Management and Operations  Participated in June 2016 Air Race Classic
What is the Air Race Classic?  An all women's air race  Flying across the United States  Period of 4 days to complete  Any type of small aircraft is welcomed  The race route changes every year
My Experience  Team of two participants from Western  Flew from Michigan to the race start in Prescott, AZ in just over a day  In Prescott, AZ before the race, were several briefings and meetings to attend  Race started at 8 am with racers taking off every 30 seconds after one another
Experience Cont’d  2600+ miles flown over the course of 4 days  Prescott, AZ to Daytona Beach, FL  Fly by points verse stopping points  Being strategic and dealing with weather
