State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) � Includes the regional COG/MPO Transportation Improvement Programs (TIPs) and ADOT’s Five Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program � Compiled annually and is approved for a four year period � Multi ‐ year, fiscally constrained statewide multimodal program of federally funded transportation projects � Projects must be in the STIP to be eligible for 14 federal funding

Five Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program � Comply with State Statute � Plan for developing projects and spending funds for the next five years on the state highway system and Arizona public airports � Projects in the first two years are fully funded and ready to advertise within the year programmed or sooner � Projects in the last three years are identified to establish an implementation plan for preparation phases prior to construction 15
