Student Recruitment

  • Admissions travels more than 28,000 miles across California to attend

more than 236 different college fairs and transfer days.

  • Approximately 86% of guest who toured campus and attended Choose

Chico! eventually matriculated for fall 2017.

  • Multiple campus partners collaborate with admissions to recruit
  • students. Partners include CSC2, CSSC, and Pipeline-Thru-College.
  • Admissions supports multiple efforts across the North State providing

workshops, trainings, site visits, tours, and supporting committees.

  • Admissions utilizes technology to reduce the distance and the cost to

recruit students through E-Outreach, Geo-Fencing, and CRM technologies.

  • Implementing multiple diversity initiatives.

  • 78% of fall 17 tours guests applied to

Chico State.

  • 35% of tour guests who applied to Chico

State also matriculated for fall 2017.

  • Approximately 86% of guests who toured

campus and attended Choose Chico! eventually matriculated for fall 2017.

  • Call Center team supported campus tours

by making reminder calls two days prior to scheduled tours to all scheduled attendees.

  • This year the visitor coordinator started

efforts to launch Hmong and Spanish language campus tours starting fall 2017.
