Major CSR Initiatives - Healthcare ❑ Spandan-Deployment of Mobile Medical Units in rural areas • SPANDAN, a healthcare outreach programme, • Deployed 20 Nos. Mobile Medical Units (MMU)/Vans in rural areas during FY 2016-17 & FY 2017-18. District covered Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Majuli & Biswanath • NHPC has spent Rs. 11.86 Crores during FY 2016-17 (Rs. 6.43 Crore) & FY 2017-18 (Rs. 5.43 Crore). • During FY 2018-19, 10 No. MMUs deployed for Dhemaji, Lakhimpur & Majuli • During FY 2018-19, NHPC has spent Rs. 84.50 Lakh up to 27.07.2018. • Beneficiaries are approx. 6 Lakh 46 46

Major CSR Initiatives – Drinking Water Providing Safe Drinking Water Facilities in Rural Areas - ‘ Kalash ’ • MoU signed for 1620 locations with local bodies/ management committees for implementation of the scheme in rural areas of Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Biswanath and Majuli districts in the state of Assam. • Work has been completed at all 1620 locations. • Total expected beneficiary from the scheme is 10 Lakhs approx. • Expenditure incurred till date Rs. 14.55 Crores 48
Major CSR Initiatives – Drinking Water Providing RO Based Drinking Water & Sanitation Complex • 1000 LPH RO Plant with estimated cost of Rs. 28.5 lakhs each catering to around 300-400 families on daily basis at ten locations. • The facility has Sanitation Complex & RO Plant. • 10 No. RO Cum Sanitation Complexes have been completed at different places • During 2017-18, a sum of Rs.1.60 Crore has been spent towards this scheme. 49 49
Major CSR Initiatives-Education ❑ Hydro Engineering College at Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh (H.P.) • Rs. 37.5 Crore was contributed for setting up of the Hydro Engineering College at Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh during FY 2016-17. ❑ Darjeeling Engineering College, Takdah, Darjeeling, West Bengal NHPC has contributed 13 Crore for establishment of Darjeeling Engineering College Main Building of Darjeeling Engineering College, Takdah is under construction . 50
