You have 4 enemy types, increasing in size and mass. There are 3 levels, on each level one more unit type is added. Use space to push enemies, in combination with the left and right arrow button and the mouse. You can buy items from the shop, for your inventory, which help you with making new strategies. Example: Bear Trap, Caltrops, Fortification, Stamina Upgrade. The Kingdom/ Castle health bar decreases when enemies pass the gate. After each gathered infected person, your maximum stamina decreases. Player runs with the shield and bumps into the enemy (mass). You use more stamina for bigger enemies.

Name: AEGIS IMPACT (Top Down)

  • Player: Knight with shield (Medieval Fantasy)
  • Setting: Caste, Day.
  • Mood: funny (silly animation, cartoon style, exaggerated color usage and character proportions)
  • Narrative: A knight is asked to protect the kingdom. A new disease made its appearance and now

many of the humans are cursed to be monsters forever. The knight now needs to protect the remaining civilians, while capturing or killing cursed creatures. At the end, after he succesfuly completes his duty, he will be named successor of the king and be recognized by everyone in the kingdom.

GAME RULES You have 4 enemy types, each enemy is one size biger than the other:

Use space to push, in combination with the left and right arrow button you can push enemies to the left

You can buy items from the shop, for your inventory, which help you with making new strategies. Example: Super Push, Increase Max Stamina, Increase Speed, Increase Shield Size. Health bar for the condition of the castle. Health decreases when enemies pass the gate. After each gathered infected person, your maximum stamina decreases. Player runs with the shield and bumps into the enemy (mass). You use more stamina for bigger enemies. Add obstacles for enemies to bounde off and for the player to dodge.

THE SIX SIMPLE MACHINES

Wheel & Axle - Makes work easier by moving objects across distances. The wheel (or round end) turns with the axle (or cylindrical post) causing movement. Inclined Plane/ Ramp - A flat surface (or plane) that is slanted, or inclined, so it can help move objects across distances. Wedge - When you use the edge to push things apart, this movable inclined plane is called a wedge. An ax blade is one example of a wedge. Lever - Any tool that pries something loose is a lever. Levers can also lift objects. A lever is an arm that “pivots” (or turns) against a fulcrum (the point or support on which a lever pivots). Think of the claw end of a hammer that you use to pry nails loose; it’s a lever. A see-saw is also a lever. Pulley - A cord wraps around a wheel. As the wheel rotates, the cord moves in either direction. Attach a hook to the cord, and now you can use the wheel’s rotation to raise and lower objects, making work easier. On a flagpole, for example, a rope is attached to a pulley to raise and lower the flag more easily. Screw - When you wrap an inclined plane around a cylinder, its sharp edge becomes another simple tool: a screw. If you put a metal screw beside a ramp, it may be hard to see similarities, but a screw is actually just another kind of inclined

  • plane. One example of how a screw helps you do work is that it can be easily turned to move itself through a solid space

like a block of wood.

  • Collision response refers to the simulation of what happens when a collision is detected, such as chain

  • Ragdoll physics are a type of procedural animations on creature skeletons that is often used as a

replacement for traditional static death animations.

  • Deformable bodies give objects the ability to shatter, destruct or deform. This could give a player the

ability to blow an alternative way through a level using a rocket launcher. (rigid body physics)

  • With soft-body physics you can for example simulate realistic behavior of hair, clothes, sand and water.

Ex: the deformation of water when you drop an object into it.

  • Everything reacts to everything in a realistic way.
  • Understanding of properties for objects and materials and the forces that manipulate them.

Quick ideas (mostly ortographic perspective, front view)

  • Climb (while carrying something that needs balance on your back and things falling from the sky that

can hit you?)

  • Break bones with karate moves (contest between 2 players) while dodging objects falling from the sky

and balancing yourself on a lever??

  • Fly up on various platforms using some kind of shockwaves that push things out of your way (but

depending on the angle from where you use them, those things could fall on you)

  • You are an insect/ dust/ smth under a surface (bed) and try dodging a vacuum cleaner that would suck

you in while you avoid the obstacles also attracted by the vacuum cleaner.

  • Use mirrors to redirect laser beams and clear the path in front of you?
  • Hold space to use force for interaction (throwing an object on something to either build something and

balance it or to destroy it)

  • Jump through platforms and balance on them while doing so. (maybe with 2 players/ npc s holding

each other)

  • Have a weapon in the middle of the map that (top view) that can shoot in 360 degrees and affect the
  • environment. (maybe stack blay bullets on top of each other to block enemy paths/ or to clear the map
  • f any existing element; maybe make a maze)

  • Avoid obstacles by hanging/ climbing on walls
  • Run on a road that is moving in the direction opposite of where you are running. You need to press

specific keys shown on screen in order to jump and "light up"/ collide with obstacles you pass. The

  • bstacles you can light up will have a specific shape or color, or maybe they will be semi transparent.

The ones that are not will be solid and can throw you off the road (neon lights?).

  • You can be a white or red cell going through the circulatory system.
