HOW MUCH MILK TO GIVE MY BABY ?
In general, a baby will take at least 6 to 8 bottles every 24 hours during the fjrst three months of life / THE AMOUNT OF MILK YOUR BABY NEEDS WILL RISE AS HE GETS OLDER AND BIGGER. Just like for adults, a baby’s appetite varies from day to day and meal to meal / Giving a baby a bottle with an excessive amount of milk can cause increased frequency of regurgitations / After the introduction of solid foods, gradually increase to 3 bottles of 180 ml
Up until the child is one year old, he needs 600 ml of milk each day / 60 ml x 8 1st Week

Mon bébé est né prématurément, puis-je l’allaiter Our baby squirms, cries, and appears to have stomachaches. We should give him a different type of milk. The crying is not necessarily due to his food / Take the time to understand the needs of your baby / Don’t hesitate to talk to your doctor or one of ONE’s social workers / Your baby needs milk during the night, too. During the fjrst months of life, your baby’s stomach is small (1 week: 30ml and 1 month : +/- 120ml) / Therefore, your baby needs to eat regularly, which includes eating during the night / Every nursing infant has his own sleeping schedule, with some sleeping 5 to 6 hours at a time for the fjrst few weeks, whereas other infants won’t start to do until later / Be patient / The sleeping schedule of your baby will develop little by little and the nights will become longer / Until your baby reaches the age of 4 to 6 months, a feeding in during the night is considered normal and healthy / If i give my baby a large bottle of milk before bedtime he will sleep longer during the night. During the fjrst months, it is completely normal for your baby to wake up during the night because he is hungry / Offering him a large bottle before bedtime will not lead to him sleeping longer and skipping this nighttime meal / On the contrary, this could make nights more diffjcult because it could give the baby digestion problems and regurgitations due to consuming too much milk at one time / The evolving sleep schedule of the baby is not related to his feeding schedule /

Horse milk is just as good for my baby as breast milk. Mammal milk (sheep, horse, cow) are not suitable for infants and children / When the child no longer receives breast milk, it is then recommended to give him formula / These types of milk for infants are produced using some cow or sheep milk that have been modifjed to meet the specifjc nutritional needs of nursing and growing infants / These products must meet very strict legislation standards / The baby bottles that my sister-in-law gave me could contain bisphenol A (BPA). I should gradually raise the amount of milk I give my baby as he grows. Increasing the amount of milk given to your baby via one bottle or another can cause more frequent regurgitation for your baby and therefore lead to discomfort and dif- fjcult nights / When your child completes all his bottles and you have the impression that he is still hungry, then you can increase his bottles to 30ml + a scoop of formula /

I can give whole or skin cow milk to my child when he reaches the age of one year. Infants of one year maintain specifjc nutritional needs that cannot be met by regular cow milk / It is recommended to continue to use follow-on formula (2nd age) until the child reaches at least 18 months / Ordinary cow’s milk can be given at the earliest at the age of 18 months, but ideally after 3 years / Now that my child is 2 years old, I should offer him milk in a glass. It is around the ages of 15 to 18 months that you can stop giving your baby bottles, but milk will stay important / This is the age to begin to give milk in something other than a bottle / He already knows to drink water out of a glass / You can choose to give your baby milk in a cup or a glass; he will be able to drink either / With a balanced diet, dairy products are given in forms other than milk (yogurt, cheese,…) and the quantity of milk given can therefore be reduced / The worry with continuing to give your baby bottles of milk is that he risks consuming too much milk in the place of other important nutrients for his health (breads, fruits,…) / I can give my baby the same soy milk which I drink. There are some soy-based infant formulas which are suitable for your baby because they contain essential nutrients for his growth / Actually, it is recommended to avoid soy milk before the age of 6 months for reasons concerning its high content of phytoestrogen (a substance that related to the female hormone estrogen, which may cause hormonal disturbances) /
For any further questions, do not hesitate to contact your doctor or one of ONE’s social workers /
