Choose Your Courses Wisely

Final Course/Level Change Deadline

  • July 30, 2020
  • Elective courses fill quickly. The earlier a change

is requested, the more likely the change can be made.

  • Your schedule will only be changed in September

if there is a scheduling error.

  • Failure to select your preferred elective

is NOT considered a scheduling error.

slide-43
SLIDE 43

Course Change Procedure During the School Year

  • To minimize disruptions of student schedules and to maintain class size

balance and continuity of instruction, changes in student programs must be reasonably restricted.

  • No changes during the school year will be made without a parent’s

signature and teacher input.

  • Dropping a class cannot result in more than I full week study hall per

year.

  • A withdrawal from class will appear on the student transcript (WF/WP).
  • See the 2020-2021 Program of Studies for details about Course/Level

Changes.

slide-44
SLIDE 44

Change to Class Rank Policy for Class of 2024 and Beyond

Lenape Regional High School does not publish or release class rank. We believe that our students’ levels of achievement are more equitably and fully communicated through multiple measures than a single figure transcript statistic

slide-45
SLIDE 45

Waiver

Recognizing there may be limited circumstances in which students may be adversely affected without the release of class rank, a waiver may be completed by the parent/legal guardian and student requesting that either weighted or unweighted class rank be released to a specific college/university.

slide-46
SLIDE 46

Waiver Examples

  • 1. If the student will not receive consideration for admission

without the release of individual class rank.

  • 1. If the student will not receive consideration for a

scholarship, or admission to a particular program or provided a benefit without the release of class rank.

  • 1. If the student will not receive consideration for recognition

in certain local, State or national programs of recognition without the release of rank.
