LAND PROGRAMME – (Phase 1)
– Literature review at all levels (policy, legislation, etc.) – Training in data capturing, storage and retrieval – Propose a LUP methodology aligned to Kenyan policy – Nat & County consultations (Ministries, CSO, communities) – Identification and mapping of tenure regimes and land uses (potential vs. actual use) – Promote inter-county agreements on NRM
– Review and harmonization or domestication of national & county land and NRM sector policies and legislation – Support formulation of procedures and drafting of regulations for community land registration and SLM/NRM – Mainstreaming of the LSLA safeguards through county by-laws – Support development of land Information law – Support the Judiciary in development of framework for promotion of ADR.
