PT: We are going to discuss a number of areas of your health and fitness to enable me to produce the most accurate programming system for you. If you have any questions along the way please do ask.

slide-37
SLIDE 37

PT 3: What do you need to put in place to make the changes to get to your goal? What do you need help with?

S O L U T I O N S

PT 2: What would reaching your goal feel like? What is your main goal? What benefits would this bring to your life?

D E S I R E D

PT 1: Where are you now in relation to your goal? What are the negative Things about not Achieving your goal?

C U R R E N T

slide-38
SLIDE 38

PT1: Please select your current body composition PT3: How long have you been trying to make that change? PT2: Please select your body composition goal?

slide-39
SLIDE 39

PT: Please select the 5 areas in which you would like to make a change. All of the areas are interconnected so if you struggle to find 5 I will help you.

slide-40
SLIDE 40

PT OK great we have listed the 5 areas you would like to make a positive change in. We are now going to discuss the specific challenges you have around each mini-goal. So for Strength, where are you now? Where do you want to get to? What challenges do you face to reach your goal? What do you feel is going well with this area? What benefits would come from you reaching your goal?

slide-41
SLIDE 41

PT: we are now going to have a taster session based on one of your key goal

  • areas. Which area would you like to

work on today? We will start with a specific dynamic warm up for 3-5 minutes and then deliver 2 exercises for 2 sets so you can sample a training

  • session. Water? Towel? Go!
slide-42
SLIDE 42

PT: How did you find that training session? Tough right? We are now going to review the information we have discussed. You stated that you wanted to improve your composition from 30% to 15% in 24

  • weeks. Your 5 areas of change are:

Strength, Weight Loss, Posture, Nutrition and Muscle Tone. You stated that the main challenges you have are nutrition, knowledge of training, motivation and intensity and that you need some guidance along the way.

slide-43
SLIDE 43

PT: OK so I have a range of packages available but based

  • n your assessment today

you would need 10 sessions to achieve the results we have set out. How does that sound and when would you like to have your first session?

slide-44
SLIDE 44

PT: I understand it is a big commitment but you are serious about these results. How about we start with a starter pack of 5 sessions or 10 half an hour sessions? Customer says they cant afford it

  • r need to think about it
slide-45
SLIDE 45

Consultation Step 3 Closing the Sale

  • CONFIDENCE IS KING!
  • Tell the customer which package they need,

do not ask them which package they want…

  • Based on your assessment today, you will

need a 10 session package to reach the medium term goals we have set out. How does this sound and how many sessions could you commit to each week with me? I would suggest 2 per week.

slide-46
SLIDE 46

Consultation Step 4 Finalising the Client

  • Complete the trainer client agreement and

send the customer a copy

  • Ensure you note down amount paid for the

package and the completion date

  • Issue a receipt for the customer
  • Book date and time of first session at least in

your diary

  • Gain commitment from the customer
slide-47
SLIDE 47

If it’s a No…

  • Do not panic! This is all about practice and

doing the numbers

  • Explain you understand that this is a big

commitment and offer a 5 session package as a starting point…

  • If the customer is adamant that they do not

want to purchase PT…

  • Make sure you say HI next time you see the

customer in the gym

  • End the appointment on a positive note
