Household contribution Grantees are allowed to require the households it assists with MHTF Housing Assistance to contribute 30 percent of their gross monthly income towards their total monthly rent amount. Grantees that choose to require households to contribute a portion of their monthly income while assisted must require contribution from all households assisted with the grant. If a grantee chooses not to charge they must not charge anyone.
Documentation should include the CoC assessment system report showing clients served within the grant period to date of the site visit. Grantees should be able to provide written documentation each program participant received referrals, assessment, screening, and prioritization, if applicable. Work with your HMIS provider for support to generate appropriate reports or screen shots for documentation.
Each provider must work with its CoC to ensure that the screening, assessment, and referral of program participants are consistent with the required written standards. Victim providers may choose not to use the CoC’s CES. Payroll billed to the grant must include timesheets and effort reports
