  • Established via Census Address List

Improvement Act of 1994

  • July/August 2019 - Census Bureau will

provide feedback materials based on address additions, deletions and changes requested by 2020 LUCA participants

  • Feedback will document which address

additions and updates were accepted and rejected by the Census Bureau.

group quarters and transitory locations for which construction began during or after March 2018 and will be closed to the elements and potentially inhabited by April 1, 2020.

  • Boundaries of interest = state, county, city, town,

village and tribal

  • January 1: Reporting begins
  • March 1: Deadline for BAS submissions to be

included in next American Community Survey and Population Estimates program data

  • May 31, 2019: Annual submission deadline.

These updates included in the 2020 BAS

  • May 31, 2020: Last opportunity for changes to be

submitted for inclusion in boundaries used for 2020 census.

PSAP Process

Purpose: Once a decade opportunity for

participants to review and update selected statistical area boundaries that will be used for the 2020 Census data tabulation and subsequent annual American Community Survey estimates and the Economic Census (e.g. include

the Adirondack Park so Census blocks can be cleanly aggregated within the park.)
