The mission of Hahnville High School is
to educate, empower, and encourage our diverse student population to learn at higher levels, to create and pursue meaningful goals, and to become responsible, empathetic, and productive citizens.
A 4x4 block schedule will provide students postsecondary and employment advantages, financially benefit our community, and afford equitable educational opportunities for all students.
To obtain a better understanding of decisions
made regarding the HHS 2020-2021 schedule.
To address concerns and questions gathered
from student & parent surveys .
All courses will be on a block 4x4 schedule:
- There will be no rotating A/B variances.
There will be no specific course “pairings”
- Students will have the ability to choose all 8 courses of their fall &
spring schedules.
Students will have the ability to choose if they elect to take
specific courses year-round (pending graduation requirements).
Skill-based AP courses (English & Math) will be offered in
the fall semester; content-based AP courses (Science & Social Studies) will be offered in the spring.
*HHS will provide AP and Arts students additional
support outside of the schedule structure*
