Graduation Requirements-page 6 As a sophomore in the graduating class of 2023, you will need: • 8 English Credits • 7 Social Studies Credits • 6 Science Credits • 6 Math Credits • 2 Art Credits • 1 Health Credit • 1 Physical Education • 1 Career and Technical Education course • 18 Electives • Total of 50 required credits

Transcript ● Review it carefully ● The majority of you will have more credits than the required at graduation. ● CIS Courses can count for “1” year of English ● Check to make sure that you do not have any incompletes. ● GPA is cumulative (builds each year). ● Valedictorian/Salutatorian are calculated after 1st semester of your senior year. ● If you are new to Rockford, please plan to come to the Guidance office to review your transcript.

What Happens If You Get an “F” • If you have received an “F” in one of your core classes, you will need to repeat the class take the course in night school, or make it up in summer school. • The “F” stays on your transcript. • Make sure to keep track of your grades and transcript. You don’t want to have to take a freshman level course as a senior.

Course Name Changes 2020-2021 Physical Education (Formerly Individual Fitness) #6000 Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12 1 Semester/1 Credit This is a course designed for students to put MYP Principles into practice. In addition to units such as Invasive Games, Net Games and Fitness Testing, students will learn strength and conditioning exercises to improve their physical fitness. Students will design SMART goals based on data from fitness assessments and monitor and track their progress throughout the course.
